Bull Shots (substitute the pepper vodka for the sherry). You will need to sterilize a 1 liter or 1 quart glass bottle to hold this homemade spirit. Make sure the mouth of the bottle is wide enough for the peppers to fit!
Approx. 2 oz small fresh red chile peppers free of blemishes (long thin peppers work best)
1 liter or 2 pints vodka
Wash the chile peppers and dry thoroughly with paper towels. Use a toothpick to prick little holes all over the peppers, so that they'll release their flavor and heat into the vodka. Slide the peppers into the bottle using a wooden or metal skewer to push them all the way in. Fill the bottle almost to the top with vodka. Cork tightly and leave in a cool, dark place for two weeks to a month, gently shaking the bottle periodically so that the pepper flavor permeates the vodka evenly.
