Here's a festive after-dinner or special-occasion coffee drink that's easy to make, and the recipe below for 2 servings readily doubles (or triples, etc). For a special holiday touch, garnish each coffee cup or glass with a small candy cane or peppermint stick.
1 1/2 cups hot brewed coffee, regular or decaf
3 Tbs Kahlua or other coffee liqueur
3 Tbs Peppermint Schnapps or Creme de Menthe liqueur
Whipped cream for topping (use real whipped cream if possible)
Cocoa powder for dusting
Using 2 coffee cups or glasses, place half of each liqueur in each cup or glass (1 1/2 Tbs of Kahlua and 1 1/2 Tbs mint liqueur per glass/cup) and stir to combine. Pour half of the coffee into each glass or cup and stir, and top each with some whipped cream and a dusting of chocolate powder. Enjoy hot.
