Uncle Brutha's Fire Sauce No. 10

Nationally recognized for its "superior flavor and balanced heat,", Uncle Brutha's Gourmet Hot Sauce Fire Sauce No. 10 is a sensory masterpiece for those who enjoy thick-textured, robust, flavor-packed and fiery hot sauces. This seriously hot hot sauce tastes, smells, looks and feels like a winner, and its multiple Scovies and other national awards (including at least one Golden Chile from the Fiery Foods Challenge at Zest Fest) are justly deserved. The aroma is rich and enticing, with more than a mere suggestion of the potent fire in the blend of chiles (habaneros, red & green jalapenos, & serranos) and garlic that provide different layers of earthy, vegetal, pleasantly pungent and peppery-sharp flavors. The color is a dark brick-red, and little bits of minced peppers are clearly visible, providing a thick, tongue-pleasing texture to this full-bodied hot sauce. In sum, this truly is a gourmet hot sauce for foodies AND a seriously hot hot sauce for veteran chileheads.

Because of its robust flavors and intense heat, I like to use Uncle Brutha's Fire Sauce No. 10 on hearty foods like grilled or broiled meats (beef, pork and game all take well to this sauce), and I mix it into ketchup for use on hamburgers, veggie burgers and meatloaf. This hot sauce also complements tomato-sauced dishes like Italian foods, and is quite good when added to chili and rustic stews (I'm actually looking forward to cold weather so I can play with this sauce in some of my comfort-food recipes). It's also great when splashed on cheese nachos, breakfast burritos and sausage. I think I'll stir it into cocktail sauce the next time I have chilled boiled shrimp. And if you count carbs or prefer all-natural sauces, you'll be glad to know that Uncle Brutha's Gourmet Hot Sauces are low carb, fat free, and all natural. Uncle Brutha's Fire Sauce No. 10 is currently on sale at the Carolina Sauce Company.

Zestfully yours,
Gloria
