Spicy Southern Twang Country Style Ribs with Garlic Mashed Potatoes

This super-easy and super-tasty recipe comes from the creators of Southern Twang Hot Grilling Sauce. You can order it from the Carolina Sauce Company, and the entire product price is donated to Operation Sauce Drop, a nonprofit program that sends free sauce to deployed troops.

Ingredients
1 pkg Country Style ribs (10 pieces)
1 jar Southern Twang Sauce
2 lbs red potatoes
3/4 milk, heated
3 Tbs butter
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 Tbs butter
Salt & pepper to taste

Trim the fat from the ribs, and place ribs on a broiler pan. Broil on high for 8 to 10 minutes per side or until golden brown. Remove ribs from broiler and turn oven to 325F degrees (you may need to let it cool down to that temperature after broiling). Transfer ribs into a large oven-safe casserole dish and pour the entire jar of Southern Twang Sauce over the ribs. Cover the casserole dish and cook ribs for about 3 hours, or until the meat falls off the bone.

While the ribs are baking, peel and slice potatoes into 2-inch pieces. Add potatoes to a large pot filled with water. Place the pot on the large burner on your stove, bring water to boil, and cook for 30 minutes. Drain water and transfer potatoes to a medium bowl. Add hot milk, butter, minced garlic, and a pinch of salt & pepper (to taste). Mash the potatoes until smooth and everything is combined. Make sure to keep the potatoes warm if they're ready before the ribs are done.

Once the ribs are done, serve with a side of garlic mashed potatoes. Corn makes a nice additional side dish, and a tossed green salad will complete the meal.

Zestfully yours,
Gloria
